Please let us know how you do on that, I just had the same thing happen to my MR8's, lost both the tweeter sound.
I thought it was the thermal protection but, no, now that they are cool still no tweets... Not sure if still under warranty at 1 year one month, I will check tomorrow.
Another question, how did you go about buying the tweeters?

These are Bi-Amped, that is have seperate amplifiers internal for the LF and HF.
First have to find if the amp or the actual speaker driver is bad.
