Same problem with mower, rev then cuts out, etc. Have had carby taken off and thoroughly cleaned and blown out with air hose. Will start first pull then dies after 2 mins. If I push petrol button it will keep going a little but then dies. Will start each time first time but then dies

It sounds like it is "Starving" for fuel. Make sure the bolt that holds the carburetor bowl on is clean. It has holes in the bottom and on the sides where there are no threads. This bolt is also the Main Jet of the carburetor. Insert NO metal objects into the precisely machined holes in the bolt. Clean till shiny (it's brass).
This and a small carburetor air adjustment may be all you need to do.
