I did unplug the TV power code more than 1 hour with the status of 'TV on.' Anyway it works, so far so good. I don't know whether unplugging still works with 'TV off' status.
Note 1: Even I bought the power supply board bn44-00499a from Amazon (TVchopshop) to no avail. I returned it. So, try unplugging first!
Note 2: According to Google, Chromecast (CC) also seems making power cycling bugs. So, I unplugged CC also.
In addition, open the tv back cover and disconnect/connect 2 flat pin connectors to the power board, another guy suggested.I did unplug the TV power code more than 1 hour with the status of 'TV on.'
