Samsung RS2630 Refrigerator Freezing Problem
The problem that we are having with our Samsung is that after several days we are noticing an ice build up on the Assy Cover Supt Motor Fre (the technical term) and when the door button is pressed, I can feel that no air is blowing from the vent at the top (ice maker section) and the middle section. We called a technician out and was told that the styrofoam insulation that is attached to the assy cover multi fre and the assy cover supt motor fre has deteriorated and much like swiss cheese, fills up with water in the holes and freezes thus inhibiting the flow of air into the freezer (and ultimately refrigerator as well). He gave us the part numbers and told us where to order them from and told us that they were really easy to replace. We let the fridge completely defrost while waiting for the parts then replaced them. It worked fine for about four days and we are freezing up again. Of course the company won't let me talk to the repairman to ask what next (unless I want to pay for another service call). My husband is very good at fixing almost anything, especially electrical and if I could just get some more insight, because this seems to be a very common problem, I am confident we can solve it. I am tired of throwing out food and even more tired of lugging things back and forth from our garage refrigerator. Though I shouldn't complain, at least we have a backup! Any help you can throw my way would be GREATLY appreciated. We just moved into our home and I am getting paranoid of all the little surprises.
