Sata drive not recognized at boot up
I have a K7 motherboard M825G. I put in a pci controller to run a Sata hard drive but it is not recognized on bootup. How can update the boot sequence to look for the drive

If your bios does not show the SATA hard disk drive within the Standard CMOS Setup Page than your board can not handle the PCI controller card you added.
Your board can't handel another controller.
The best way to over come this is to buy a SATA to IDE adapter.
Click on the links below to see what you'll need to get the SATA drive up & running. (The bios will see the SATA drive with any of these adapters).

I HAVE UPLOADED THE MANUAL HERE, IF YOU DON'T WANT TO WAIT THEN GET INTO YOUR BIOS BY DOING A HARD BOOT AND HITTING THE DELETE BUTTON ON START-UP.IF THE MOTHERBOARD SUPPORTS SATA , TO WHICH I FOUND NO CONFIRMATION , YOU CAN CHANGE IT BY GOING INTO THE ADVANCED SETUP PAGE AND CHANGE THE FIRST BOOT DEVICE TO SATA RATHER THAN IDE. YOU WILL ALSO WANT TO CHECK THE PCI SETTINGS AS WELL FOR YOUR CONTRLOLLER CARD ....GOOD LUCK
