Savannah spas We have a Sunset Delux model hot tub which was installed in Jan 2002. The temperature display panel is flashing the current temperature along with 3 dots below the temperature. The problem is I don't think the hot tub is actually heating to the temperature that is displayed; it just seems a little bit colder. Plus, I can't get the temp to get any hotter than 99 - 100. I like to sit in the hot tub when it is 102 - 104. We inherited the hot tub when we bought our house two years ago and, of course, the previous owners didn't have any manuals. I can't find them on the Internet, either. Any ideas? Is a heating element bad? If so, how do I diagnose it? Thanks, -Steve

Probably a dirty filter!! take it out turn tub off to reset turn back on with filter out and c if nthis solves problem if so replace filter.
It sounds more like a temperature sensor/hi limit problem. If it will heat up to 99-100, it's probably not the heating element. You'll need to have the sensors tested, they have a close tolerance resistance value that must be met or they will malfunction. Three dots sometimes means that it's a sensor problem.
