SB-800 Mode button won't work
The mode button has stopped responding. Can't factory reset - because you need the Mode button! Tried opening battery compartment while flash was on to force a reset, but that didn't work either. Flash is also randomly test firing while it's sitting on my desk. Any help would be appreciated.

The SB-800 is a wonderful flash, had a few used them on many shoots. The mode button could be internally stuck not making it connection, or perhaps broken, You could take it apart see if there is some type of obstruction and the like under the button. Or send it to a service technician. The SB-800 continue commanding a high price, getting it fixed is to me well worth the cost.
