ScanWizard Pro 6.03 cannot locate scanner
I am trying to install a Microtek ArtixScan 6000xy scanner on a Macintosh beige G3 Server tower running OS 9.2.2. The software CD it came with only has ColorQuartet, which is working, but cumbersome. I want to try ScanWizard Pro. I downloaded version 6.03, the one listed as the driver for the 6000xy for OS 9.x.x, from the Microtek site and installed it. When I open it (as an import plugin in Photoshop) it looks for scanner drivers, then says ?ScanWizard Pro cannot locate any scanners!? Apple System Profiler and the SanWizard Pro Scanner Driver Manager detect the 6000xy on SCSI bus 0, but will not add it to the list of eligible scanners. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Did you power up the scanner correctly? Get a green light indication? If not, check your scanner head to make sure it's unlocked. If you're getting a steady red light, contact Microtek. You're supposed to do the power up sequence BEFORE you connect to the SCSI connector. Once your connected and WITH THE SCANNER ON, you start the Mac. If the scanner is the LAST station on the daisy chain, set the scanner's terminator switch to ON. If it is not the last, set the terminator switch to OFF.
Pls connect the scanner to another usb port and try again
