Screen goes black, we flip to ypbr1, ypbr2, or Av1 and nothing happens screen stays black, also unable to view the tv menu guide. We turn off the tv, give it a few sec then turn back on, works for a bit then happens again

More likely to either be the backlight inverter board went out or it is not getting the 24vdc from the power supply, need to chek out the voltage at the inverter fuse.

You may have failing power supply or the backlight inverter board. Look at the power supply first for burnt parts, bad caps, bad solder joints.
