Screen is black but there is sound
Last week I turned the TV on it was dark(light was blue) but there was sound. This was on the DVI setting so I check on the component and the same condition existed. I shut the TV and tried it again a few hours and it was fine then the next time it was black again and hasn't worked since(from a picutre stand point) thoughts

It is possible that the backplane lamps and or the ballast supply is in failure. It is also possible that the main power supply is having a fault condition, or there is some other area that is shorting and causing part of the power supply to go in to protect mode.
The set should be checked out by a service tech who knows the set, and has the necessary resources to service it.
