SCREEN PROBLEM WITH HITACHI 42DP8600
Hi,
I have an intermittent problem with a verticl blue band about 3 cm wide appearing vertically on the right side of the screen. This flickers in and out and the picture can still be seen through the band. Sometimes a tap on the side will make it disapear but it soon returns. No other rythme or reason as to why it appears, no particular length of time switched on etc.
any suggestions or something obvious?

It is dry solder joints inside the tv. If you are going to do it yourself try these places for a fix: vertical scan board, focus board, line output board, chroma board. If you are not able to do this yourself then find a competant technician. Hope this helps.
