So I took it in and the dealer did a full diagnostic test....only thing they could find was a weak voltage output. Not a dead battery, although they did charge it to be sure. Not a faulty alternator. After charging the battery everything checks out fine... the serpentine belt broke about a week before this started, my gf drove until battery was almost dead....they think that's what caused the issue even though it wasn't immediately a problem.apperently if the security system senses a weakness in the voltage it may shut down operation of the vehicle.So I took it in and the dealer did a full diagnostic test....only thing they could find was a weak voltage output. It sounds to me like the security system is failing the same thing happen to me. Its really common in gm vehicles. Mine started out like that and then eventually it wouldnt start sometisomes.. Check out this site, i did a lot of research and it worked great They have great customer service and the part is guaranteed so u can send it back if it doesnt work.... hope this helps ya Do It Yourself GM Security bypass
