Sega Game Gears will not stay turned on
A couple of my Sega Game Gear systems will turn on for a couple of seconds, and then power off. One of them shows a screen during the short time that it's on, and the other one does not. Can this be fixed to keep the Game Gears on for a longer period of time, and if it can be fixed, what can I do to fix it?

Well this response is late, but I am sure others will read this. It is a combination between the video caps. (replace them all) and a voltage regulator. (just replace it) caps, transistors and voltage regulators are ALWAYS the first place to start!!!!!
It sounds like a battery issue replace the batteries.Plug it in to the wall if you have a plug in.

i guess dean691 tried that out before asking.

these technical problems are mostly caused by defective capacitors, exchanging them might help, but this is not an easy job to do. this is only a hint, i can not garantee that this solves the problem, there might be other defective components.
