Sega turn on but just get squiggly lines help!
My Genesis has the AC wall adapter and an RF cable. When I turn it on all I get are squiggly lines. Tried it on four different tv's and always the same end result. Tried cleaning out dust and messing with the tv but to no avail will it work. I have no idea beyond that what it could be. Oh also when I plug the tv cable into the rf cable and then screw the rf into the tv the cable works so I don't think it's the rf. Also the red light does come on when I turn on the switch. What else could it be?

I've seen Genesis consoles that are just plain bad, rusted inside and screwed up, no fixing that. I hope that isn't the case but it sounds similar to what happened to me, and mine was garbage.
make sure its on the right channel (3 or 4 depending on the RF switch). also wiggle the A/V cable to see if its a loose port. Try holding the cartridge back or forth when powering it on in case the pins that touch the cart inside the console are loose and just aren't making contact (if this is the case there are guides on how to open up the Gen and make them stick out more, fixing it)
Best of luck!
