Self propel won't allow the mower to back up freely. works fine moving forward
I have an MTD front wheel drive 21" cut 6.5 HP honda lawnmower. The front wheel self propel won't allow the mower to reverse freely. Is this an adjustment to the drive unit or do I need to replace the front wheel drive transmission?

Either the wire going to the transmission is not tight enough and need adjustment or belt needs replaceing
