Some things to check:- Is anything preventing the turntable from rotating smoothly, this would cause a judder. Perhaps the records are sliding on the turntable, a rubber mat will cure this. Ensure the record player is on a level surface.
I meant to add, have you checked that the stylus is seated correctly and there is no dirt on the tip.
