Short somewhere in basic fastrck oval
Purchased a Thomas and Friends basic R/C set from Amazon. My daughter is trying to set it up for her son and says that when she connects the last piece of the oval it shorts or sparks and will not run. If she removes any piece of the oval, the train runs fine. However connecting it back together seems to short it. I thought that the small set would be foolproof but I guess not. I am all of the way across the country so I cannot see what she is doing. Any suggestions? thanks for the help. Mike

Strange indeed? Is there more that power to track connector going to the track. If so one may have been incorrectly orientated? The only other thing I think of that would cause a short between the two rails on the track is perhaps a set of dodgy points. sorry couldn't be more helpful.
Sorry, the first part of the last comment should have read "Strange indeed? Is there more than one power connector going to the track. If so one may have been incorrectly orientated?
