Shower head and bathtub faucet both running when showering
When i turn both knobs from the shower then the center knob to transfer the water from the shower faucet to the shower head, only about half the water pressure is directed to the shower head and the other half is still running through the bottom faucet. how can i fix this?

Sounds like diverter valve which is your shower handle valve is bad take it apart and check out and replace it if possible because that transfer water to shower head.
