Shower valve has a thumping sound when other faucets or toilets are turned on and off.when you turn shut offs to danze shower valve off sound goes away.could this possibly be the plunger in the valve?

I have the same issue with a Danze Sonora shower Valve. I called Daze and they sent me a new cartridge. After installing it I have the same problem. I also put a surge arrester on my toilet which had little effect. If you find the cure please post it.
