Sidekick 3 Problem
I dropped my Sidekick 3 about 2 feet. It landed on the carpet and was in its case.
When I took the phone out of the case, the screen was black and the green "call" and red "call end" buttons were lighted up. I pressed all the buttons... nothing happened.
So I took the battery out and put it back in and tried to turn the phone on. The green call and red call end buttons were not lighted up. The phone was still black.
When I put in the charger plug into the phone, the port area is lighted up (red color). I'm not sure if that means the phone is charging correctly? Also, sometimes when I put in the battery, the trackball will flash green once then stop. It only happens occasionally when I put in the battery. I have restarted the phone and put a paperclip in the little hole behind the screen. Still nothing...
This phone has no screen damage no cracks from the fall and no scratches from the entire time I've had this phone (a year and half). I used tape as a screen protector.
No water damage either.
I took it to the Tmobile store and the girl was pretty much lost. She didn't have another sidekick 3 battery to try to see if it works with my phone.
The only options I have is you guys, go to a battery place and see if their sidekick 3 battery works on my phone, or give it to a cell phone repair place.
Help me!! Thanks in advance

Okay i have a sidekick 3 as well and what you need to do is put the paper clip in the hole again and hold the power button at the same time for approximately 3 seconds. This is a hard reset. Now the bad part is that this will reset all of your data back to factory default. If you need further assistance or this does not work click the ask me button next to my name and we can work on it from there. Thanks.
Okay no you can not do this while it is plugged in so plug it in before doing this for about 15 minutes just good enough to get a small charge on it. Then do the paper clip and power button reset.
