Siemans dryer door does not make good contact to get dryer started. Have to lift door to turn on dryer
The lint light keeps coming on and dryer will not turn on. We have cleaned the outside vent as described in earlier posts. If we lift the door slightly, then it will turn on

By pulling up on the door tells me that some adjustment is needed to the door or the switch. Check to see if the switch has broken at the tip, or bent back a little. Also see if any screws that hold the switch in place need snugged up to make it stick out of the holder more. You may be able to see the screws just beside the switch. You may be able to use your switch by gluing a thin piece of something to the toggle. Just be careful that you use something capable of taking the heat. Just had to replace the switch on my dryer last week. Got switch off of amazon for 8.00 bucks. MAKE SURE it is the right switch when ordering. I am a do it yourselfer.. not a pro.
