Siemens gigaset se587 wlan dsl
Hello,
i have problems installing the gigaset se587. i connected the device as follows:
the yellow cable (lan) from the modem se587 to the back on my computer.
the grey cable (adsl) from the modem se587 into the splitter (filter).
the telephone line (which was initially connection from the computer to the telephone wall jack) from my computer into the splitter (filter).
splitter (filter) connected into the wall jack (telephone jack).
power line connected.
now the following lights are on
power on
lan 1 on
adsl flashing (indication that it is synchronising with the computer but not getting a firm light even not after 5 hours).

Connection should be as follows..........

no ext should be there ....... no external device should be connected........
if using any device in any socket at home then make sure that they r filterd correctly .....
try resetting the modem/router..... then check the lights.......
last option is to unplug n re plug all the cables.....

HI
A flashing ADSL light on the router means its not getting constant broadband signals. Make sure it is connected to the adsl filter without any extensions and the filter should be directly connect to the main phone socket and not to an extension socket. Also check if the phone socket has 1 or more than 1 ports on it. If it has two port its most likely a SSFP socket which does not require a filter as it is inbuit.If all the connections are fine try changing da filter.
