Report "Silly question Hello, I just need to know if I am supposed to be stopping and disconnecting my external maxtor hard drive before I turn off my computer (PC). I dont leave it on because I have been having problems with it shutting down. This is my first time with an external hard drive and I can't find the answer looking at the Maxtor help screen. I have it plugged into the back of the computer because I couldn't get my windows to recognize it plugged in the front. Thanks, MSG"
