I have a Simplicity 7 Series. Was vacuuming today and it quit. I found the bag was overfull. Vac may have overheated? Is there a reset button?
other suggestions?

There is a thermal reset button on your vaccum. It is on the rear of the unit, just below the attachments and next to the sticker with the serial numer etc on it. The vacuum is designed to turn itself of if too much heat gets built up to prevent it from "burning up."
I just got this notice ... it is good news ... I am glad this worked out for you ...
Thanks- That was my problem too. I vacumed up a bunch of dried leaves and it clogged the hose. I was about to recycle it until I read your solution.
Overheated in Vacuum speak is burned up. The motor cools itself with the air you allow to pass through it, in this case, you choked it and it burned up. Your machine is probably not worth repairing. I serioiusly doubt there is a reset button that will overcome this though it would be worth a look-see
If you want to try to replace the motor, visit a fixYa.com advertiser or partner or your local appliance repair place or www.repairclinic.com

The Simplicity vacuum has a reset button so wow this guy fixya seems to not know what he is talking about.
Yes, do not take A Miller's advice. The Simplcity 7 has a reset button as Scotboyles instructs at the top of page
