Skype does not crash when I first log on. It does crash, though, when I do anything such as try to modify my profile, or add a contact to a group
I use IE 9, windows 7. I have used skype for a couple of years with no problem. This problem started a couple of days ago, after installing Ghostery, and also adding 10th (11th?) contact. I have closed and opened skype, shut down and restarted my laptop, cleaned files and fixed my registry using norton utlities.

First thing to do would be to update your Skype. Open Skype, choose help. Choose Check for Updates. Good luck.
