Sm57 microphone not working
After accidently dropping the mic on concrete at a gig the wind screen came off. After several unsuccesfull tries at putting it back on I finally got it only to find at the next gig it wouldn't work at all. All wires seem to be in place and the diaphram seemed to be in good shape. Any ideas before I send it back to Shure for repair would be appreciated.

Unfortunately you will have to get it serviced. When you drop a mike usually two things happen. One you actually distort the magnetic field in the magnet inside or two you break the winding in the coil which is mounted on the diaphagm. 57s are sturdy mikes but some things can still destroy them.
