For that first make sure your usb cable connected to harddrive is working fine. Try it in different usb ports. Make sure that jumper on the back side of harddrive fixed into right position Ifyou have windows computer then check your harddrived into that computer if you can get error for accessing the harddrive then you need to repair your harddrive . Ok let me give you a breakdown on what happens to these drives.
!. Bad a/c power source 2. Bad usb to satacontroller card inside the unit 3. Badusb cable.

the guy in the video is me sorry it was dark and i was showing how to take the drive out of the case. but i guess you are not wanting to do that proccedure? good luck with other experts that are going to tell you the same or even worse.
