You did not post any model information, the Glenfield maker is also Marlin. The most reliable way to get that information is to go to a large public library and ask for the books that have it.
Let me think....the Glenfield was 72-82 I believe. Renamed the Marlin 25 after that. It was then renamed the Marlin 925 in about 2003 or so and continues to be built today. Yours is a 76. Just off the top of my head, though. I could be a year off on the history part.
