Solahart hot water system (Blackchrome flat panel) no longer heats up. Any ideas on what the problem is?
It made gurgling noises for a while, but no longer shows any sign of life. System is about 16 years old. Its a thermosyphon type, and so it seems that the thermosyphon is apparently no longer working. Why would this happen, and can it be fixed? The only heating is now by the electric booster.

Gurgling noise indicate air in the system . To properly circulate all air must be removed from system . Purge system and see if that does the trick. Hope this helps.
