SONY VAIO CS ..DAMN ..NEED HELP.. My vaio cs just keeps geeting worse...its not responding well.. I clean my heatsink and.place a thermal compound.for the cores...but the problem is i caanot run the safe mode and im trying to reformat my laptop again ( within 1 month) any suggestion what is the problem? If the hdd is the normal mechanical (not SSD) I would scan that for bad sectors using HDD Regenerator on Hiren's Boot CD 11.5. While you're at it, scan the ram (module, module if you have more than 1). That way, you're eliminating errors on removable hardware...if problems persist I would say problem is with the motherboard or could be a driver problem. Try install a different OS (like XP rather than Win7 just to test). Hope this helps!
