Sound but no picture
I have a 27inch Sony FD Trinitron tv. model number kv-27fs120....I lost the picture on the set..I believe it happened when there was a thunderstorm in the area and at that time I did not have the set on a surge proctector.
I am wondering if it is worth fixing...it's about 3 1/2 yrs old...it is a great tv....Does anyone have suggestions on what could be wrong with it..how much to fix it..if it's worth it?...thanks :)

Sounds like the tuner got hit by lighting. Cost of tuner unknown to me at this time have seen them from 20.00 to 100.00 dollars pluss shiping and then have to pay repair shop to put it in. You probley would be better off buying a new tv there is no telling what else could be damaged that would show up at a later time like in a few days to a month or so.
