Sound - no picture

Hope you can help. We've had our Bose Lifestyle for about 3 years now and it's always functioned fine. Today, we moved the tv and components out to vacuum and when we returned them to their 'home' the Bose suddenly stopped putting out video. We tried the obvious issues, such as loose and disconnected cables - to no avail. Even tried turning off the power and resetting the tv and Bose. This has happened once or twice before and my husband has managed to get things going again. This time nada! Is it possible the s-video cable simply crapped out?
