Sound output only
I've had my soundsticks II for about a year, took them out of the closet after 3 months of storage, and they sound output only seems to be about 10%. I tried several different audio sources (TV, laptop, ipod) and nothing gets them loud enough. The volume sensors seem to be working (volume up, down, and mute) but nothing else works to get them any louder... Suggestions?

Hi there
Toward the base of one of the satellite speakers are two chrome finished plates...these are touch volume plus and minus pads! It seems that these units default to low level if not used for some time. Just try touching the + pad!

Just found this thread as same problem
Happily, also found a thread on different forum with solution that works for me: look for + and - buttons on one of the satellite speakers. Woah! - now get volume all the way up to 11!
I found the + and - buttons that I didn't know these had and with one touch of the + the speakers came back to life!
I have this identical problem. Only I unplugged and re-plugged only to now have NO sound output. Since I had a tiny bit of sound before, I don't think this is a setup problem. Somebody somewhwere . . . what is up? Can someone please answer or provide the Harmon Kardon contact? I'm no longer under warranty. Everything was peachy until I packed them and moved. Soundsticks seem to be a bit too sensitive for my liking.
same here. i unplugged to move them from one room to another and when i plugged them back in they didnt work. i left them unplugged for a few days tryed again and still nothing. i know about the volume biutton and nothing
