SOunds shut "off" when changing from HD channel to non-HD channel
When changing channels, not 100% of the time, but it's 50/50 when I change channels that the sound will turn "off". I then have to turn off the receiver for a few seconds, and turn back on to restore the sound. I have disconnected and reconnected my wiring several times, but situation still the same.

I think you need to look at the sound settings. In particular the type of sound. HD channels often carry AAC sound, suitable for Dolby 5.1 and Standard Channels don't. So the sound system will switch modes when you change channels. However the receiver is not switching back to picking up PCM signals, the type used on SD channels.
Does changing your speaker settings on the HK AVR 700 (i.e from small to larger or vice versa) mess with the sound issue explained above? Im experiencing the sound signal changing when I replay a recorded show vs switching back to reg cable channels.
