The space bar on our Olivetti ET 2500 has stopped working. Also, the carriage will no longer return. Both problems developed simultaneously. In recent months, there were occasions when a character would not type and a beep sounded; turning the unit off then back on would resolve this. The beep now sounds when trying to space or return, but the individual letters/characters seem to be okay. The past fix of turning it off and on has had no effect.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.
