Spark plug fired,( Sears -30,000 BTU) starts and runs for approx. 30 seconds, then cuts off. The reset button does not reset for restart for about another 20 - 30 seconds. Then the unit will restart manually, using the resset button and then the problem repeats itself. The spark plug has been cleaned

Check and see if the heater has a high temperature limit switch. if it does it will shut the machine off until it cools down.. just replace it with a new one.
