Speakers pop or rumble when stereo is turned on
Kicker zr600 amp looks fine inside, and when powered up all fuses and voltage sensors show ok. But when i install the crossover module, i get a rumbling sound and heavy pops from the speakers. If i pull the RCA wires off, the rumbling stops, but if i attach an RCA to the White (L) input, i get some sound, BUT if i touch or plug in the Red (R) input the speakers pop and begin to rumble again. Signal RCA's were tested on another amp and no problems... is something shorting or grounding out on my R input?

AMP HAS PROBLEM.. SOUNDS AS THOUGH THE LINE INPUT AMPS HAVE PROBLEMS IN AMP ALSO ONE THING TO CHECK WOULD BE TO DISCONNECT SPEAKERS AND HOOK UP RCA'S.. CHECK THE SPEAKER OUT PUTS WITH A DC VOLT METER TO SEE IF YOU HAVE DC VOLTAGE ON THEM IF SO YOU HAVE SOME SHORTED OUTPUTS
Check continuity between the rca shields and the non-bridging output. if you have none, check for voltage there, you may see under 1vac, and that may change with you touching the metal. if you are not getting excessive, then put a jumper from the rca output shield and non-bridging channel. if you then have clean audio ouput, there is a small fuse hiding on the inside of the board, that needs to be replaced by someone experienced. there are several things you need to know about assembly and dis-assembly of these amps. also, this fuse will blow if the speaker outputs short, or touch metal, in your car, or the case, so check over your wiring.
