Speed on internet
I have a Compaq Presario V5101US laptop and recently acquired a Sunrise TakeAway mobile modem w. speed of 7-8Mbps but have sometimes problems getting info to quickly download or come thru on internet while surfing or sending. don't know if this is the mobile modem or if it is my computer. Processor is AMD Mobile Sempron 3300+ w. Power Now Tech. and 128 KB L2 cache (2.00GHz). i have 512 MB 333MHz DDR System Memory (2 Dimm). I have 60GB (4200 RPM) hard drive and don't have much in the way of programs or data (photos or film) stored on my computer. Can you advise me how i could pick up speed, do I need more RAM? I am no gamer and just would like the internet to function more quickly when i click on a site or want to watch a trailer or video or send photos w. an email. Thanks
