Speedo Aquabeat is not recognized by my Macbook Pro
I have a macbook pro and am trying to install my aquabeat. When I plug in the aquabeat, I get a message that says the disk I inserted was not readable by this computer. What do I need to do to get it installed?

I plugged my aquabeat into my mac. It mounted and I deleted all the files onto it. Then, I copied a bunch of mp3 files onto it. The device registered as full and wouldn't let me add any more files even though the info window said there was 250 MB available but this was wrong or misinterpreted by the device. I couldn't make it work. I found there was insufficient capacity for the operational files to be built on the device. I deleted one of the mp3 files to free up space then ejected it which caused it to be unmountable on the mac - it wouldn't turn on at all. I pressed the reset button and it all came to life and now it works as advertised. The device needs to create a bunch of work files for it to start. I believe that it really was out of space and could not create the work files. When I deleted the mp3 it freed up enough space so the work files could be created, but it was frozen. The reset caused the work files to be created and all was well.
That is actually wrong information. The aquabeat is recognizable by the MacBook Pro if you are up to date with your Macs software and the MacBook is plugged into a wall outlet. It will just show up as an external drive on the desktop. From that point you should be able to drag and drop MP3 files to the AquaBeat drive. One thing to try is to open the Mac disk utility program then plug the AquaBeat into the USB port and it should register as a MSDos fat drive...not a Mac formatted one.
If aquabeat is too full it does not work, does not even appear in finder. Solution is reset it with the reset button, connect it to your Mac. Utilities, disk utility, erase disk. It will work as new, just try to leave some space (100MB).
Hi,
Have exactly the same Speedo Aquabeat. Just bought a Mac book pro and it's not recognized at all (even in Utilitary disk). Tried to erase it the only time it did show up in Utilitary Disk but impossible to erase...
What to do? thanks
For your information, apple corporation is basically very self centered people. they would like us to buy only apple i pods and the related software . they had did technical restrictions in their macbook drivers,so that anybody can't work other good audio peripherals or devices in their system. they just wanna prove that only the apple i pod is the best. so, sorry my friend, to say this. your problem currently can't be solved. i've been working on similar problems for 3 months, so that i can make work anything and everything on apple computer products. if my efforts show light i'll definitely let you know. take care...
