2004 Jetta GLI 1.8L Turbo 6-speed manual transmission - Yesterday the speedometer started jumping -- anywhere from 0 to 90 mph. Today, it quit working altogether and the check engine light came on. I also noticed that upon turning a corner my gas light comes on and the gauge drops to empty. A little history -- earlier this week the transmission plug came out and the fluid was leaking out. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the plug and refilled the fluids. Not sure if this has anything to do with the speedometer problem or not...probably not.
