There is moisture in there and it trips off the safety switch. some refridgerator points are not connected to the safety switch, this can dry out the moisture and this safety switch is there to save lives, don't touch the appliance when on and do at own risk because i am covering myself, you shouldn't have any problems but i have to cover myself. there is leakage from probably the element to earth which is the reason i sugest to try and dry it out. your element could be blown as well? you might need a sparkyto replace element
