Split hose? My machine has stopped suction on the main unit. When I tilt the neck all the way back, the hose is split around its diameter. Is there a straightforward way to fix this AND where can I order th part?

This piece is available but is very difficult to install. the upper handle needs to be split to reach the upper part of this hose. i would call the manufactuer and find a local warranty service center to get this part.
