Splitting the shell on Electrolux Epix 6500
I know you have to remove the rubber bumpers and somehow pull the locking strips out. My problem is I can get them to move about 1/8 inch but can't get them to come out. Is the a trick to unlocking them?

With the vacuum on flipped on it's top and the bag door open, wedge a screw driver between the rear cover and the bumper. Gently tap the side of the screw driver blade toward the front of the machine. Make sure you pay very careful attention to where everything goes. It is very specific inside for reassembly.
