The auto tack function often tends to try and steer past the stops on the quadrant wheel. This generally happens if I am not close enough to the wind or try to tack without enough speed. This is hard on the drive belt. Would a rudder position sensor help prevent this and incidentally improve tracking to a bearing? I have a C&C 34+.
