Standby light is onand tv will not turn on
Standby light is on and tv will not turn on
I have a Norcent LT-2723. Heard a loud pop not from the speakers one day, then tv began going to standby periodically. gradually grew worse then another loud pop. now the tv will not turn on, but rather just flash 2-3 times and return to standby mode.
I've taken the back off, no capacitors look messed up, can't find any non-micro fuses to inspect. one of the blocks of wound copper wire appears to have 2 small parts of its plastic housing melted slightly.
I took it apart down to the screen/lamp in housing. but do not want to play with the ribbons unless necessary.
Anyone have any idea's?

We have a 2 yr old norcent flat screen Lcd 20" tv.
Few months ago, the picture would turn off, but the sound was still on.
It would come back after a while.
Recently found that the power cord, or it's connection was the cause (wiggled it= problem solved!!).
We almost took it apart/in for repair,..all because of a simple cause!
I just got off the phone with what used to be Norcent....they are no longer in business, and do not know how or when they may be able to provide support to those of us that spent our hard-earned money on the garbage they sell. I have a LT 3222 and it lasted alittle over a year, not the picture is red and white. I called today to try to get some troubleshooting advise on the unit...only to be told that they went out of business last week. Sorry I did not have more info
