Start-up problem with emachine 366i
Emachine 366i running Win98. Will not start when green panel button is pressed. If I unplug AC from wall, wait 30 sec. or so, then replug; machine will start when green power button is pressed. Any fix I can perform? Thanks.

Replace the power supply - but before that - remove every card in the machine and remove the ram too - clean the end of the ram with a pencil eraser - reinstall.
Clean the rest of the cards with a pencil eraser and reinstall.
Blow all the dust from the machine with a can of AIR - get the power supply and fans real good - put it back together and if it works - fine - if not - replace the power supply.
