Starter just clicks 2009 Triumph Speedmaster
In cooler/colder days, whenever I try to start the bike all I hear is a click. The starter does not turn and the battery meters just fine. I've had the battery load tested, and checked twice now and both times they say the battery is fine but when I hook a set of jumper cables up to the bike it fires up just fine. It even starts right after I turn the bike off and try to start it again. Please help the bike is only 10 months old and it's annoying to have this issue with a new bike. @

It sounds to me like you have either lose conections as sugested above check the conections both at the battery & the starter or that you hve a sticky starter solonoid however being that the machine is less than 12 months old I would be returning it to the dealer for repiar under waranty
Chec the connects at the batt to the cables-its most likely not tite enuf-corrosion posible too--no wheelies!
a 12 volt battery must read 12.6v to be fully charged @ 12.3 its only 50% and at 12v its 0%--if u dont use bike alot buy a batt maintainer-an inexpensive slow charger that u keep on but will shut off when batt is full
