Starting problem 96 eclipse
Im having a probelem with the car starting. When i start the car the rpms are like at 2000 then makes it way down below one and its about to die then after 10 sec or if you rev it up the rmps settle atlike 1000 and stays.

Possible vacuum leak, that would be the cheapest guess.
Check under the hood for cracked or detached vacuum hoses. Those you see, even if they appear intact, move them to see if their position affects the idle speed; sometimes the crack might not be visible until a hose is moved. Keep your hands clear of belts and fan.
If that doesn't find the problem, I recommend buying a Haynes or Chilton aftermarket manual for your Eclipse; they will be around $20 US and are available on line or in any auto parts store. If you do that, you have a number of emission control devices to check and I would also suggest you buy a low-priced (<$20) digital multimeter as you will need that to check several of the devices.
