Starting problem KTM SXf 450 2008 model
Hello I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I have this problem with my 450 SXf. The motor turns over and will not start. There is plenty of spark and the plug is wet but it does turn over without anything in the motor sounding like it is really damaged and I did not see a lot of metal flakes in the oil when changed so I am hoping that the valves are ok and not bent and that the piston is ok.
I have read reports it could be the decompressor or the timing is out but am not 100% sure on how to check it. The oil was low when I bought the bike and have read that the cam tensioner may have released slightly and the cam slipped a tooth or two. Would you recommend taking it to my KTM dealership to sort ou the problem and does anybody know where I can find a workshop manual for my bike on the net?
Many thanks to anyone out there that can help me out!

Rent a compression tester from autozone and check compression if compression is down pour one cap of oil into cylinder through spark plug hole and check again. if ring or piston is bad or cylinder is marred then compression will go up with oil in cylinder if up top it wont change. ne more questions email [email protected] will walk ya through it if need be.
