Starting problems so its been running fine until one day i was driving and it suddenly shut off. i put some gas in it and it didn't work right away that same day i tried it again and it worked fine.I tried to drive then it stopped again after 3 secs and i cant get it to start up. the key turns over and it sounds like it wants to start - it does occasionally for a few seconds - then it stops when i try to drive off or let it idle for long time

Many times when a fuel pump starts to fail it fails intermittenly and then it just wont work at all. so it may be your fuel pump. because it still cranks strong then it's not the battery. it may also be loose wireing to and from your distributer. that could explain why it works intermittently. when the wire barely connect it works and as you drive they my loose contact. make sure all the connections to and from the distributer are not loose. you may need to change those cables as well.
